The aircraft we fly
We currently have 2 single seat gliders (An SGS 1-26 and an SGS 1-23), two advanced two-place trainer (ASK-21 and IS-28B2), and one Piper Pawnee towplane. Below are pictures and information on the planes.
Schweizer SGS 1-23SVS owns a classic SGS 1-23 glider - this one was actually flown by soaring icon Paul Schweizer in the 1956 Nationals in which he finished in 4th place!

Lark IS-28B2This is a high performance two-seat glider that our more experienced pilots fly
|
Schleicher ASK 21Our 2010 ASK-21 Tail Number 747SV...What a beauty! Its superior glide ratio and all fiberglass construction make it a popular choice.
|
Schweizer SGS 1-26Sleek as it looks, our venerable SGS 1-26 is still classified as a primary trainer so students are able to "graduate" to it relatively quickly after their solo flight.
